i would like to install a Vacuum Canister
so that my head lights will be able to go down when car is not
any idea i have a canister just not sure were to install it
Hi m,
Your car already has vacuum storage capacity so the lights can be open with the engine not running. Is that part of the headlight system not working?
Might you want to try to get it to function.... or do you just want to install another tank?
Regards,
Alan
Hi M,
68-72 cars have a rectangular vacuum storage tank mounted on the rear side of the driver's side apron.
On 73-79 cars the large tube behind the front bumper is used for vacuum storage.
80-82 cars have a storage tank that looks like a large coffee can mounted between the headlights.
Regards,
Alan

What are your expectations on being able to put the lights up/down after the car is cut off? The time envelope available for operation after shutting off the car is limited to the capability of the canister, valve, and hose seals.
I have one where it'll still function a few hours after shutdown and another that's only good for 15-20 min.
