The computer.

Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM) and shop manual for your car? Both could help you. Do you have an owner's manual?

I would like to help but when you type like you do. And do not use proper punctuation. It DOES make it hard the read what you are trying to tell us.

The advice given in POST#2 is priceless.

Buying a computer controlled fuel injected car without the proper tools and manuals for someone who does not know this stuff. Can make it an uphill battle. UNLESS that person WANTS to learn about this stuff. Hence...the books are needed. Because if it is schooling your are looking for here because you have no clue on what it is that you are looking at. Trying to educate you is possible but it can take a lot of time.

Do you have the tools and manuals to work on this car? If you DO get a service manual. Get a GM one from one of the major Corvette suppliers. Do not waste your time and money on a Haynes, Chilton or Mitchell manual. That is my opinion on that.

36 years old, you are going to have some issues.I would check behind passenger side motor valve cover .there is a group of wires that go into a connector goes bad .these wires go down to the starter .

Check the ground cable from the battery to the frame before you do anything.

The late model cars had aluminum ground cables that are notorious for corrosion build up. Get a jumper cable from the battery ground to a solid ground source and see what you have.

THIS^^^ I think I may have mentioned this in a previous thread, not sure.

Words well said Dub. This is the truth especially if you are working on a C3 or older corvette. They do require a fair amount of maintenance to get them going in the right direction and then keeping them going.
