I am attempting to simulate my stock LS5. The numbers look a little low, but the curves have the correct shape. I have the correct cam specs, but am unsure about head flow numbers.
DD2000 output is in gross hp/tq correct? The LS5 gross ratings are 365 hp @ 4800 rpm and 460 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm.
wernt LS5s made when they were rating at "Net" Hp? meaning change the exaust to large tube-open exaust, umm maybe advance timing a little, and probably a bigger carb, and the #s may come out as GM advertised.
i know LT-1s were 350hp(?) on year and dropped to 255 the next with minor changes. it was when they changed from Net, to Gross.
DD2K uses NET hp approximation. It tends to err on the side of generosity (ie I am running 349net according to DD2K but it is probably about 5-10% less).

ahh, Net hp/tq. that makes sense. Thanks.
Now I am getting 285 hp max at 4000 rpm. that is the correct net rating, but it should be at 4800 rpm...
Related, the torque peak is at the correct rpm (3200) but is too high at 420 lb-ft. Should be 390.
Is this as close as I will get?
ps: what is the difference between:
-stock manifolds and exhaust
-H.P. manifolds and exhaust
i believe the diffrence in the program to be as et of variables times varibablesm meaning, X*Y. but in real life thediffrence would be say stock manifolds ans mufflers Vs. say ported manifold (who would do this???) and flowmasters, or turbo mufflers. i ran the H.P. (high performance) manifold and mufflers on my approximation because i have dual exaust, but its still runing manifolds with high-flow cats. (as of now there are no mufflers.
play with the timing in the cam specs to see if you can get the #s in the right spots.

that depends on how much the person that has it, wants for it. :jester is there any way i could get anyone to ......ummmm how do you say this.............e-mail me DD 2000
How much are you willing to pay for it? :jester
Let's just say a dial-up internet user was to get Desktop Dyno in his email box... would it be possible for him to download it, without waiting for an insanely long time...?
Wow ... that was quick ... downloading (via dial up) right now. Will reply via email upon setup. Anyway ... if ya get down my way ... RC's & Moon Pies or Buds & nachos are on me!

Were the camshafts installed straight up at the factory? Also, the duration numbers I used were listed in many of my reference books, but I wonder how accurate they actually are??
well i was thinking, i know you can gain/lose power based on the timing, usually advancing the timing will gain horsepower. so the factory may have advanced it a little to get the #s they wanted.
