C3 fuel guage not working
The fuel sending unit has 23 ohms and moves when I manually lift the float. Wires, ground and tan connect to the fuel guage. 12 volts at the guage cluster. When I manually move the guage needle on the cluster and turn on the key, it will go from empty to full over hard on the needle stop. So all the parts work. Why doesn’t the guage read correctly?

Ground the sender wire see if the gauge moves to empty or full then unground it should move the opposite .At the gauge first then if all is well at the tank , if it makes a sweep both ways the sender is bad if no sweep the gauge is bad.

If you connect your ohm meter to the sending unit it should read 0 ohms with the float at the bottom of the tank (EMPTY) and 90 ohms with the float at the top (FULL). You may see 0-5 ohms and 85-95 but that is close enough for a reasonably accurate measurement.
