OK, the new relay came today. I installed it , but blower still doesn't work on all speeds. I do however , hear a click from the relay when I move the switch from 3 to HI, and vice versa. I took the plug off of the resistor and as shown in the diagram , this is the voltage I get. If not noted on the other tabs, that means I got no voltage. This is the results only on the plug, not plugged in to the resistor itself. I'm stumped on this as I thought I should at least get some blower action on HI since it's supposed to bypass the resistor Help!

I'm thinking it has to be a wire or a plug going to the blower motor. Everything I've seen suggests the relay terminal that goes hot when you switch to high, is supposed to go straight to the blower motor. You said you already ran power straight to the motor and got it to blow... was there a plug on it ? I haven't been deep enough into mine to lay eyes on it.

I think what I need to do is that we've established that everything is working from the switch to the resistor plug. I think the next thing to do is remove the resistor and test it (which I don't know how to do), and take off all of the tape around the wires that leads from the resistor to the blower motor itself. I'll also check for a plug somewhere. If there is one on the blower motor itself, it's good because I jumped it and works fine. Removing the tape will expose those wires, and may reveal the culprit I think

The resistor assembly itself is simple to test. Set your meter to ohms, and you should measure a relatively small resistence between one terminal and each of the rest of them. I didn't look at the actual resistance measurements, but itll be easy to tell if a coil of wire is broken. Only takes a minute to check it over.

What about the ground on the blower motor? Is it possible to jumper to a known good ground to eliminate that possibility?

I replaced the ground wire about a year ago to the motor mount with 10 gauge wire. I heard somewhere that a bigger grnd wire was a good thing to do. When I jumped from the batt , I placed the wire on the + terminal, and it spun the motor like blazes. I can try to relocate the grnd to somewhere on the frame tho
