Default borgeson steering box leaking from shipping box? Normal?

I ordered the borgeson steering kit for my c3. I noticed the box was all wet from ATF and when I opened it I found the box soaking in ATF mostly around the output shaft.

My question is to anyone anyone else who had done the borgeson steering box conversion. Did your box show up dry or covered in ATF like this? I am worried I may have gotten a return or something and it could be years before I fire up my project. Outside of the warranty period.

EDIT

I feel like a tool

I checked the website
Steering Box Arrives Covered in Fluid. All steering boxes are pressure tested for function and leaks before they leave our facility. It is common for the box to arrive to the customer with fluid in the packing bag this is normal and from the above testing.

Mods feel free to delete this post or leave it up so that others may learn from my dumbness
