Clutch Pedal Adjustment
The clutch pedal on my 70 has a slight click to it as I release the pedal. I had this happen on another car and made an adjustment to the two nuts on the rod under the brake booster. When I did this in the past the car didn't have power brakes, so getting in there to make the adjustment was easy. This car does have power brakes and the booster is making it difficult to make any adjustments. This may be a stupid question but what's the trick to getting in there to make the adjustment on a car with power brakes? Do i need to remove the brake booster?
Second question...Assuming i can tighten things up to remove the click is there also a way to raise the clutch pedal? It seems the car without power brakes has the clutch pedal quite high compared the the one with power brakes. I've become accustomed to the clutch pedal being higher and wanted to see if i could raise it some.
Thanks.

I can adjust the clutch without taking off the brake booster. So it can be done...but it is up to you. As for a trick..I do not know of any due to it just takes wrenches or a socket and a wrench to do it.
This 'click' you are referring to would cause me to check ALL of the points on the linkage and make sure that they do not have any play in them due to wear.
Also making sure that the linkage uses the CORRECT 'G' clips where needed is also highly advised and NOT just using cotter pins. Check the assembly manual and it is outlined on where they go.
As for changing the height of your clutch pedal..it is only going to be able to go back but so far before it hits a rubber bumper. But do whatever you wish to make it how you want it.
