Does This Look Right?
I'm trying to install a new Comp Cams cam and timing chain set in my 77 350. I want to install it straight up, not advanced or retarded. The timing gear marks are not very clear, is this correct?
Is my vette stock?? HAHA

the marks dont line up with the key way. Youu need to set the #1 piston at top dead center and line up the marks you want per the directions

I guess I miss-read his question, I thought he meant which keyway to use for neutral timing, since he didn't show the cam gear I guessed he did align the "0" marks between the gears
Still using the rounded keyway for neutral timing, Here's an image

ok more importantly....so you don't wipe any lobes .....have you used lots of assembly lube and have you read how to break in the cam?
