Default Steeroids Rack and Pinion

What's the verdict on replacing the original steering with a rack and pinion? I have to decide whether to replace all of the original stuff or go with a steeroids unit.

Rack and pinion is the way to go if you want precision and don't mind a non original car.

A ton of people are happy with the Borgeson conversion. Half the price and a better turning circle. It's a great system and the autocrossers love it.

I went R/P and been very happy with it. Look into reducing the flow from the stock pump though.

I went with the Borgeson conversion.
Gets rid of the additional hydraulic lines and equipment under the car that is the source of all the leaks with the OEM system.

I have driven many c3s and c2 daily,

Some didnt have power steering, and i really never longed for better steering, when i got my 66 it was all over with slop, replaced all tge bushing and wear parts and a fellow i knew this was before net rebuilt the box, the can was.manual steering nut it was great i had no complaints,

Now with my 69 i wonder what to do the car has nee but sitting steering parts but im betting it will leak if not at first soon after shes running,
I will seriously consider stock manual steering but i know a lot of people that is out.

So do i get the stock system up to par or go r&p or borg,

Borg is out, ive read almost as many negitive remarks as good just the positive remarks are louder,

Then ive seen remarks peoole ditched r&p to go borg,

I dont auto cross, i just cruise and when i look at costs seems in my case the way i use my car its not worth it stock was fine in the past it will be fine now

Not sure what 'replace all the original stuff' refers to but if it means all the steering linkage and steer gear then I would go with the Steeroids. I have that on my 6t8 and the steering is very precise and reactive, most times requiring two hands for control. Where as if your reference was to just getting rid of the OEM power steering stuff the Borg upgrade would just right. My 69 got that upgrade and it is so much better than original P/S. Now if it is a manual steer car do as the Bats said and just fix that. T
