Burning Brakes
No issues keeping my ‘69 427/390 cool. Car has factory AC and a recored stock radiator and a new water pump. Never overheats. I have manual cut off valves in my heater lines to help the AC, but they take the heater core out of the cooling capacity.

I am moving down there and will bring the car down later but I figured I would see what works for those already down there. Its a 10.5, 406, 160* tstat, heater core bypassed with uncoated headers and it doesnt overheat but something isnt right, cruzing at interstate speeds it will cool off enough to disable the electric fan @ 185* without any car in front of me. If one gets 1/8th mile or less in front of me the it wont cool off like it should or temp will start rising. Has a cheap alum radiator in it, wondering if the pan shroud I made is restricting air flow.

I have a champion aluminum radiator with the stock fan and shroud and it never gets close to getting hot.

I have a 1978 Pace Car with a Dewitts aluminum radiator and a blocked off heater core and the temperature never goes above 200 degrees and that's with the AC on and outside temperatures above 90 degrees.
