Giving specs like the rpm range, CFM range, current draw range and temperature range it operates at would actually be interesting to some.

I do laugh about any claims there is no RFI with brushless. A brushless fan basically has a 3-phase inverter section in it which produces lots of electrical noise.

Regarding a bush DC motor, arcing is created by bush contact with the commutator and creates electromagnetic interference or "noise". The BLDC motor does not have brushes and do not produce the same level of electromagnetic interference or noise as a brushed motor.
Not that EMI was a concern, but switching from a brushed cordless impact driver to a brushless tool was very noticeable difference.

Do these electric fans run quieter? My stock setup keeps the engine cool but if I could lose the fan noise to hear the engine more it would be worth the upgrade. Is fan noise reduced?

They are very quiet. 73-74 dba or lower depending on rpm

I have the dual SPAL's from DeWitts, circa 2013 or so. They sound like the WIND TUNNEL AT MOFFET FIELD when they come on.

They sure do. Make the A/C work great at idle though. I installed a PWM controller, and it helped a tad.

$380 with controller... $300 without controller...
Delta PAG..

Why should I buy DeltaPAG brushless fans instead of typical brushed fan?

Power, Reliability & Efficiency. The reason why Delta PAG fans are superior revolves around our Brushless Motor Technology. Brushless motors are "power-dense" small, yet very powerful. This allows for a thinner fan with longer fan blades thus more airflow. Brushless motors have a longer lifespan because there are no brushes to wear down. The operating life of brushless motors is rated at 50,000 hours vs. 3,000 hours for typical brushed motors. Brushless motors increase motor reliability, reduce noise & reduce heat. Brushless motors are far more efficient than brushed motors due to multiple phases (3 phase vs 2 phase) & no brush/commutator losses. As a result, brushless motors consume a fraction of the amps while doing the same/more work. Delta PAG's Brushless fans are flat out better because brushless motors are better

The 12” fan pulls 1750 CFM, the 14” fan pulls 2100 CFM, and the 16” fan pulls 2800 CFM.

AND YES, THEU MAKE CUSTOM SHROUDS FOR OUR C3 CORVETTES...

I RUN ONE 16" ON A 650 HP 427 SBC PUSHED LIKE HELL AT THE TRACK... Pauldana..

And easy to come bye in Europe also! Will look into it!

Now I don't have any problem at all with keeping my Corvette cool! When the thermostat opens the temperature drops and stays there at all times +/- 15 degrees.
I don't have AC though!

I prefer the 16" because it cools across most of the width of the unit not just the center core.
The other option I like is the dual offset/diagonal 11" or 12".

How wide is the main body on those Ford Focus Fans? That would be good to know from somebody that actually has that assembly.

Hi RR! I just purchased the same rad from Dewitts, and had the same issues you described, only i have a 350 w/ Muncie 4 speed. I was wondering if you can tell me how you wired it and did you have to upgrade your battery or alternator?
Thanks.

Thanks, I saw that, but I'd be lopping off the supports (like I did on my Mark VIII) I did a rough estimate from the dimensions shown and I come up with about 24.6" to 25" from vertical edge to vertical edge (immediately out from the round fan housings).....

I agree, just got these in couple weeks ago, good cooling but sounds like a freight train, DeWitts 11" spal package

That's alot of cash for fans... Sorry I won't be blowing that for 2 fans when much much cheaper alternatives are available.

The Delta PAG is very quite... in fact I can not even hear it run when the engine is on... the design prevents air buffeting.. unlike the Spals..
