'77 Side Flag Emblem Removal
So I sourced a NOS emblem to replace this one. What's the best way to remove the old one so as not to damage the paint?

not a 77 but safe. If there is any sticky tape left on the fender use a product called goo gone adhesive remover. Make sure you use a good wax and grease remover to clean the before applying the new emblem.

Dental floss also works well but not as stiff if you need to "feed" it between any pegs

Using 3M's 08984 will also work really well on getting the adhesive to let loose. Just give it time for it to do its job.

Used 10 lb mono fishing string. She broke the line twice and almost got away but the third time as they say...
Landed the old emblem...no net!
Naptha is a good adhesive remover safe for most paints...
All pretty again!
Thanks for the direction fellas!
