ok, nothing has been blued with heat. that means it probably came apart. it didn't go bad and start knocking from lack of oil, etc. find and post pieces of rod and main bearings. and a pic of an intact pair from 1 journal over. buncha little pieces. looks like a piston got ground into little pieces. and that crank throw looks like it was doing double duty as a metal shredder. heads off yet? you could find a missing valve head that made the piston small enough to be shredded like that. bottom pic. number 6 is intact and still turning despite the mayhem going on right next to it. the bottom end was solid and healthy. a piston came apart and it's rod followed suit.

Dont think that is a hole. Casting flash along the edge above filter. The rest of the block around #7 is in the flash shadow. Similar shot. One piece block so no dipstick tube.

Now look at his #5 journal. Front side hammered to ****. Look at the back side. Still correctly machined. Wasnt knocking. It was blown from above or a rod or cap just let go. And you get water-oil mix when the cylinder wall gets a massive hole blasted in it.
