1974 Corvette Steering Column Too Short
Hey, I’m In A Bit Of A Dilema. I’m Trying To Reinstall My Steering Column On A 1974 Corvette. I Put It Back In But Its About 1.25 Inches Short Of The Steering Box. It’s Bolted In But Its Too Short, How So I Fix This Problem? Any suggestions ?

Vise grips/small pipe wrench and wack on them, should move the shaft back down, if you have the rag joint still on column rap on it or use adjustable wrench up against it and rap on the wrench. They can be stubborn but since it probably went in easy maybe you'll get lucky and it'll slide easily back out.
