Wes, if you connect the two points in this picture with a hose you will have fresh, filtered air flowing through the choke. The carb has an internal passage that draws air from the choke housing, this will complete the connection to help cool the electric coil in the choke housing. Of course to do this you will need to ensure the fitting on the choke housing is not blocked off.

The plug in fresh air for choke looks permanent... no screw head... can’t see a seam. They must have glued a big rivet in the hole.... can’t get it out. Guess I’ll wait till it fails and then replace.. see close up photo...

try inserting a thin wire. If it goes through that "Plug" is a restrictor to control the amount of vacuum to the fresh air supply.

I wish...it looks like it is supposed to be there....no screw head...no holes. It almost like someone found the perfect steel or aluminum plug and glued or tapped it in.
I think trying to remove it would do more damage than harm.
