Dot 5 is blue, but might be hard to tell color on 10 year old fluid. Usually the smell gives away Dot 3. Sniff it and compare to fresh Dot 3.

Dot 5 is silicone.

Pull some out witha turkey baster and put it in a cup filled with water.

Dot 3 will form an emulsion, dot 5 will not.

But, you should flush out the fluid in a 10 yea r old system and put new Dot 3 or 4 in it.

Milk is an emulsion.

It is when oil and water turn cloudy when they mix.
vs
something like oil and vinegar salad dressing.

Bleed each caliper starting with the farthest until clear fluid comes out use some kind of 600 degree fluid. Not silicone

So the brake fluis emosified i changed 1 leaky caliper.
all four were replaced from Vette brakes but one started to seep.
so changed out all good.
Also found P/S leak culprit return hose on steering, so i replaced that too.
