brake hissing sound
1976 coupe.
Could the check valve connecting the vacuum hose to the brake booster be bad and cause a hissing sound?
I replaced the brake booster less than ten years and 5,000 miles ago. (I know I should drive the car more)
Don't want to believe it's bad. (a real pain of a job, laying on my back under the dash)
Is there a way to check the brake booster?
Can I just pull the brake booster check valve out of the booster and replace it with a new one?
I replaced the valve....still leaking air. Going to look for a shop to replace the booster for me.

yes the valve just pulls out from the booster but where do you hear the noise in the engine compartment or under the dash? Are you aware there is a noise filter under the dash?
