1977 Vette Ignition problems?
My '77 Vette will not start. It started a couple of weeks ago sometimes starting and sometimes it took 3-5 turns of the key. When it did not start, there were no noises or clicks. Lights worked, power windows worked etc. I have replaced the starter, negative battery cable, cleaned all connections including both sides of the positive battery cable. Car has new Alternator and battery is charged. After I replaced the starter I have not been able to start it. Lights work etc but nothing. No clicks, nothing.I am thinking its in the ignition switch? The car has headers but everything seems protected for the heat.

what voltage reading at the S terminal of the starter solenoid when you are trying to start the car?
if an automatic have you checked the neutral safety switch?
if a manual have you checked the clutch pedal switch?
