Default "72 Q-jet #'s

Looking for a correct Q-jet for my '72 L-48 March '72 build. auto /AC. Motor is in storage running a '73 Corvette BB now. The carb on the motor is numbered as a 4 sp carb Was on the car when I bought it 30 years ago. Now trying to get all #'s correct on the SB to offer in future sale of car as carb to pan as correct.

Thanks,
Sw

I believe the 7042902 was the calif-emissions carb, Lars would be the man to ask

The carb number for the base-engine (L-48) Vette with an automatic in 1972 was 7042202. This carb was used on every Vette, Monte Carlo, Chevelle, Nova, Camaro and El Camino with a 350 and auto trans that year, so they only made about a million of them... They are for sale on eBay at regular intervals - just start shopping and hunting - there are tons of them out there.

I have several 7042203's - all original and rebuildable with correct numbers, various dates. $150 each plus shipping. I MAY have a 7042202 as well - must check - same price.

Jack
