tach issue

tach is stuck at 3500 when I shut off works fine when started just replaced circuit board anyone got any ideas

You didn't say what year the car was, but you can find most the needed info on my tech site at this link http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/

Once you get there enter the year and search the word TACH.
