I recently replaced the printed circuit board behind my gauge cluster and it looks like this has caused a few problems. For one, my "Fasten Belts" light no longer lights up when I turn the key to the "On" position. Also, my buzzer is now constantly on as soon as the key is set to "On" until the driver's side seat belt is fastened. I'm not sure how the system is designed to work, and I'm not sure where to start looking for problems.
Can you guys point me in the right direction as far as how the system was intended to work from the factory, and what parts might be the culprit here? That buzzer being on at all times when the seat belt isn't fastened isn't the best experience. To be honest though, it does ensure my belt is fastened before I go anywhere.
From the owner's manual
"When the key is turned to On or Start, a reminder light is designed to come on for four to eight seconds. It is to remind riders to fasten their seat belts"
"If the driver's seat belt has not been buckled before turning the key to On or Start, a buzzer is designed to sound for four to eight seconds (or until buckled) as a reminder.
