Default coolant temp sensor code 15

1982 Corvette was stalling, stumbling not want to run at all. Changed coolant sensor and ECM still same problem with code 15 coolant sensor.
Sounds like the ECM is not sending correct info to temp sensor but I'm not sure. Any help will be appreciated.

I think I'd test the wire from the sender for continuity, to the ecm to see if there isn't a break in it somewhere. You could pull the connector off the ecm and see if the sender is working by testing the ohms output of the sender (you can also do this at the sender to make sure it's working properly). I'd also pull the ecm connector and make sure the isn't any corrosion at the connector...

I have what we call a tracer schematic on my tech site at this link, if you go to it click on the lower picture, then click the + to enlarge it. Then right click on the picture, select copy image. Once you do this open your paint program and paste this into it...save on your desktop and then you can trace out the wires.
