First make sure you have them laid out properly, it's very easy to make a mistake. The rods are not straight, they are offset front/rear.
I found installing the side of the hub first was the most convenient way to do it.

The strud rod support under the diff only fits in one way so no problem there.

Are you trying to scare the sh it out of me? I just replaced the differential and the stock strut rods with VBP rods. I ran down into the garage and checked my removed stock strut rods. They are symmetrical. The VBP rod were also. No mention in factory manual that the stock rods are not identical. No mention on the instruction sheet from VBP. No offsets anywhere. (1976)

I thought if the rods were not straight, Bubba had bent them to adjust the camber?

Am I wrong?

Yep, both mine look identical. Ive markedthem anyway so I can put them back in the same way.

Bubba welded the camber adjusting bolt to the strut rod bracket !!:jester:

Ýes, left & right are the same. I mean that the mounting point under the diff is offset from that on the hub.

This:

So, if you put them in the wrong way they will never meat up on the other (being hub or bracket, depending on where you started).
