My wife is pushing me to get the vette out of the garage. She complains about money I spend on all of the vehicles we own. I say they have to be maintained. I then ask her the following questions.....Are you hungry? Are you homeless? Are you cold? Usually she drops the subject. I will give her this though she is willing to help me turn wrenches. I spend money after the necessities to keep us functioning are met. She is a penny pincher by nature. If she wants to make a major purchase I ask her two questions...Do you like it? Can you afford it? If so then by all means get it.
After all that is one of the reasons we work isnt it?
Laid down the law? Easier said then done in my opinion. What goes around comes around. You dont know a good thing till its gone. Call me what you want but im wiser than whipped. Not 50/50, but 100/100. Everyone needs thier freedom. Anyhow, what are you buildin?
Actually she took it pretty well. Like I said before, I mentioned those $800 dollar curtains that I thought was outrageous for curtains and the fact that I worked four days of overtime this week to pay for the motor. She has not metioned it since. I'm putting the motor in my 77 vette. It's a 350 four bolt main long block with 9.5 to 1 pistons, a nice cam and iron heads that are ported with 2.02 and 1.60 valves. Hope to put in car in november, but may have to wait until Dec when I have some vacation time scheduled. Going to put in a 2000 stall and headers with edelbrock intake and holley carb.
