Simple problem, but I'm a simple guy.
Is there an easy way to install the handles once the panel is on?
The 2-rail mechanism has to extend out a bit (Open) in order to match the rails with the grooves and handle to clear the panel. I now have an idea why I once had to replace a mechanism; because the previous owner was prying on one rail in order to slide the handle on.
Or do I really have to remove the panel, install the handle first, then reinstall the panel?
Stick a flat bladed screw driver in the mechanism and pull it outward a tiny bit, then wedge something behind it... (another screw driver) .... then insert the handle. Once you get the handle in place insert the screw.
Thanks guys, but after 30 minutes of pryin & cussin, took the panel off, screwed the handle on, and EVEN THEN, had a difficult time getting the panel through it. Don't remember havin such a hard time with this before.
I know when I'm beat.
