Assuming the block is new, then std. bore....yea..around 480+ cubes....lot of cubes for the cost of nothing.

Oh...... NOW I see.......

4.25 STROKER..........

Missed that little part!

So I guess we have a ZL1 on steroids!

Even more sneaky!

LOVE the car. You got a ten sec. ride if you can hook it up. A little more gear couldn't hurt either!

FlareSide ...The displacement is 489.4 with 4.45" stroke and 4.281" bore. GDaina ... The block was allready notched but still required some additional clearancing.

Yea the stroker part got by me also, I assumed it was a 454. That car would be a good canidate for a ROD. I run 3.70's with my ROD and it is perfect.

I have been considering a ROD. Which gear ratios are you running in the trany?

1st 2.77
2nd 1.89
3rd 1.46
4th 1.19
5th 1
6th .62

There are different first and sixth gear ratios availible. We are making similar HP and I think any lower in 1st would be to low. It might be better for all out drag racing, but for street use any lower would not be good. I like the .62 in 6th. Richmond will tell you it is not a real strong gear and you should not romp on it. I like it because I can cruise at 80 mph at 2300 rpms. 5th gear maxes out at around 150 and I have no desire to drive a C-3 any faster than that anyway. For my set up the ratios I have are perfect.

Havn't weighed it yet but I am guessing about 3200. With the iron 454, aluminum heads, copper radiator, and 1/4 tank of gas it was 3370. The ZL-1 block weighs 110 vs 270 for the iron block and I now have an aluminum radiator with spal fans.
