Ok one more helpful hint. If you hold up the threaded ends of a right and left male rod end. You will see the threads slant opposite directions. If I recall correctly left hand threads slant to the right. Right hand slant to the left. If you have a female rod end the left hand threaded rod end will typically have groove around it so you will know it's left hand thread.

For a little while, yes.
The stuff in the pic is shiny, no rust, nothing but torque/bolt stretch to hold it in place. It'll let you know fairly quickly.
