I also installed new a/c harness...the dash harness has HEATER RESISTOR plug shown...if you have a/c does it not use HEATER RESISTOR connector...my wires didn't go to the heater switch at a/c control wheels....the plug connector wires were supposed to go to the fan switch....I untaped wire harness...they didn' go to anything...wire diagram shows wires go to heater fan switch...confusing
IIRC, on a non AC car the heater/ fan switch is part of the dash harness. On a car equipped with AC the AC / heater harness is used to connect to the switch. I recall removing a section of wire and plug and using it on the AC harness to complete the connection. I believe that this modification is shown in the AIM under section C60. The instructions for the modification came with my AC harness that I bought from Lectric limited and yours should have too. If you need it I can send you the page from the AIM.
that explains why the wires were cut.....the new a/c harness from lectric limited does have a three prong plug that looks to connect to resistor on the a/c box itself..starting to make sense now...explain to me about AIM...I have an assy manual and a doc rebuild wiring diagram
It’s the same thing. It’s often referred to as the AIM or the Assembly Instruction Manual. I hope you get it sorted out. I started out with no wiring so I had to purchase all new harnesses. There was nothing in the engine bay either so I had to buy an engine and front lamp harness. Great learning experience and at least I know the wiring is new.
