Gas cap handle orientation?

Gas cap handle orientation?
This might seem petty to some 
but this is for anyone with a '70 model (or it may be the same for all C3s) ... I removed my tank filler neck didn't take notice of the orientation of the handle on the gas cap when tight. With the "OPEN SLOWLY CAUTION" on top, there appears are to be only two options, either 2 o'clock or 4 o'clock. Thanks!
