I just finished my borgeson box install and all is well. except its leaking from the top plate. where the 4 bolts are. anyone know if the top plate lifts off. or is there more to getting if off. hope it will come off and I can figure out why its leaking. don't to remove box again.
Yeah. I'd phone Borgeson. I know you don't want to pull that box again over something that could be a bad gasket. I don't have an answer about the top and I wouldn't dick with it without Borgeson being on the phone.

yes if I have to return it. I will send it back to jegs and get another one. I was hoping I could just fix the leak. I will call borgeson tomorrow and see what they say. thanks for the reply jp

I called borgeson they said to inspect the o-ring in upper shaft or send back for repair. don't seem like there is much to replacing the o-ring they said get a pitman arm seal kit. for a 1999-2004 jeep grand Cherokee. autozone part # 7683 https://www.autozone.com/external-en...?checkfit=true

Not the o-ring there is a gash in the box where the o-ring sits. I got new box in the mail Friday.
Got the new box on and no leaks. I drove the car a few miles. and the difference from stock manual steering to the borg box is amazing. the borgeson box, fuel injection, and the tremec 5 speed overdrive are the 3 best things I have done for drivability on my 71 vette. thanks to all who helped me with this. jp
