One of these days I will have a Bona Fide Carb facility in my garage and this is one of the things I dream about offering.

Chem dip in a gallon can is no longer chem dip since about 2003. They took out the hazmat stuff (Xylene, Toluene, MEK or whatever) and since then it can soak till hell freezes over and still have minimal effect. Funny, when I was in the Navy, they used to wash airplanes with that stuff on the flight deck and just wash it over the side. The Berrymans in a pint can from WalMart used to have the right chemicals in it, and I used to use several cans of that in a gallon paint can with great results on motorcycle parts.

I used to bead blast aluminum parts, but came to the conclusion that the beads embed themselves in the metal and would inevitably end up in a bearing....
