Default Rebuilt transmission
454 auto 1970 C3

Having installed a rebuilt auto transmission for the first time (an interesting experience) I am just about to connect the shifter linkages etc. how do I tell if both transmission levers are in the neutral detent position which a requirement for this task? Your guidance would be appreciated.
