Default Q: Identify electrical relays(?) - C3 79

Hi,

My father and I have bought an C3 -79 that is a stopped build project.
And one thing that we have to do, is to fix "some" electrical challenges.

I've ordered a laminated -79 electrical schematics, but I'm very curious if you guys can help me identify a few parts on photos below?

1. This seems to be something that is related to the brakeswich?
2. I have no Idea
3 (the last picture). Blowerengine relay?

Blower relay is on firewall, pass side.

Purple wire is starter circuit.

Is the [2] the starter relay?

It seems that they* have messed up and piggybacked a lot of wires.
I wonder if there is some kind of thief protection that is broken, and they have made all this changes to go around that instead of buying parts to fix it..

Before when I we owned a Thunderbird, it was possible to look up what parts were sold with the car with the VIN number. Do you know if there is such a db on corvettes?

The Assembly Manual and the dealers shop manual are available, and will answer most of your questions.

I could be totally wrong, but I think one of those relays is for the windshield wipers.

Posting multiple photos helps GREATLY so we can see the color of the wires going into whatever it is you are asking about.

I agree it looks like #1 is for the power antenna. #3 does look like the wiper module.

You car does not have a starter relay...or starter interrupt relay...or starter enable relay. That came out in 1981 if I am not mistaken.

The PURPLE wire is not for the starter.... but rather the rear window defogger.

Ah, thanks.
And I guess from following the orange wire to the windows defogger. Should be the ground wire?

We are waiting for schematics from ecklerscorvette to be sent over here. But everything takes forever when living over here in Sweden
I was looking for a place to buy the 1979 Chevy Corvette Shop Service Repair Manual GM , and AIM as Downloadable on some shop.
But I have not found any, only cd's that must be sent too

If you have any tips or links for digital downloadable content, buy-able. I would be really happy

I have not seen the Ecklers diagrams, and the may or may not be helpful. The very best reference help I have found to help repair/restore a C3's electrical harness is produced by DocRebuild (a pita to deal with) as oOSOEZ line. It contains photos of each connector AND a color coded factory wiring schematic. These helped me greatly with the wiring in my 77.
P.S. I like your dog avatar!

When I looked at their site it looks like they hadn't any schematics for the 79.
Sadly it only seems to go up to late 78, from what I can see.
The oOSOEZ otherwise really looked great, all the info that's needed seems to be there.
