Default Brake demons

Hello All
1979 Corvette. Just woke the car up after about 8 months sleeping. Charged the battery and she started right up. After warming up put my foot on the brake pedal to shift and it went to the floor. After pumping it about 10 times it started to get firm. Waited a few seconds and it went to the floor again. Was told that the master and booster were replaced prior to buying as well as calipers. Checked the master and the front reservoir was more then half empty. Don't see any visible signs of leakage but it was also dark out. Before this the brakes worked flawlessly. After doing some searching I am guessing it is either the front lines from the frame to the calipers or the master itself. Just wanted to hear some ideas from others.

Thanks
Bill

I would check each wheel for signs of a leaking caliper. Sometimes when they sit the calipers seals dry out and they leak

Check if the master is leaking. They usually leak on the firewall or power booster.

Follow the lines and look for fluid on the ground.

Most likely its a caliper. You may have break fluid on the tire, running to the ground.

You can refill it and try to find the leak.

Be careful if one is leaking as it can sling break fluid on to the car.

If your rear reservoir was still full ( so to speak) but the front was low. It is not the master cylinder....it is a caliper, hose, line or leaking proportioning valve for the front brakes.

Even though the master cylinder can leak out the back....and drip down inside the car, down the firewall or into a brake booster ..it cannot effect the level in the front reservoir. It would lower the fluid level in the rear reservoir.
