Default Insurance coverage

State Farm insurance will only cover our 75 L82 in the classic category if it is for show and transported soley on a flatbed. Since we drive the car (less than 3K miles a year) they are charging us approximately $600/year. Does anyone have any suggestions as to other insurance companies that may offer better rates? Websites and/or tele #s would be helpful!

I have full coverage, no deductible, agreed cash value ($17,000), limited to less than 3000 miles per year on my '75 L-82 convertible with Tri-States Insurance Co. of Minnesota (1-800-533-0303) for a total yearly premuim of $402.00.
Must agree to drive primarily for club activities, exhibits, parades or functions of public interest, and an occasional pleasure drive. Heck, everytime I go out for a drive it's a pleasure and a public interest.

Find another State Farm Agent. I have SF Classic for $127.00 a year Full coverage, 12.5 K value. There are mileage restrictions, and some driving restrictions ie cannot drive the car to work or school.

American Family has a classic auto policy with very few restrictions. One important thing to keep in mind is the difference between an "Agreed Value" and "Stated value" policy is that the agreed value is what you get if you total it. The stated value is the most that you can get. BIG difference. You may also want to look into "Haggerty" they only sell insurance for calssic and specialty autos and they are very reasonable...LT

My SF agent's helper gals referred to it as antique once. Maybe that's the magic word you need to use. They told me there are no restrictions at all. They didn't ask abou nor look at the mileage.
