Wiring Help

I have an AIM and electrical diagram on order, but can not figure out where this goes and it is driving me crazy. Can you help?
Car is a 1968, 427 convertible. The wire is under the dash, hanging near the steering column.

Looks like the clutch safety switch connector? If you have an automatic, it won't be connected to anything.

I've got that too hanging under my dash not connected to anything. I have an automatic and everything works fine.

They built in 2 plugs in the harness so it could be used either with a manual or automatic. If an automatic you will see two wires like that into the console wiring. If a manual this will be plugged in and the one in the console wont be used. Just tuck that wire away you will be fine.
