Hey guys, so I'm going to buy a new gas tank for my 68 and I am going to replace the fuel sending unit at the same time. is there any particular brand I should go with? I looked online and the prices range from $40 to $100 but I can't see any reason for the price difference. If anyone has experience with a certain brand or seller please let me know so I can get this process started.
The spectra vent less tank for 1968 350 is $160 so I will buy that along with the fuel tank mounting kit. Just need to know which sending unit I should go with.
Mine is a GM Restoration part...so I have not looked into how many companies make them. Actually not worth my time to find out due to with the ones I get work fine with no problems. Maybe some other member has taken the time to call around and find out. With the price difference being as you stated about a $60 difference...it is not worth my time due to the costs are not staggeringly different. IF I waste an hour looking into it I just lost my backside. In my world... time is money.
Which is why I get them for the price I buy them at like I previously stated and move on.
