I know this is old question but what timing set will you guys recommend in stock 300/350 -69 engine?
Good quality, reasonable price which would go bolt on in stock engine.
There is like 100 different options...
Cloyes 9-1100 Street True Roller.....about $40 at your local part haus.......best timing chain you can get for the money and all you need......
While you are down there though.....replace the balancer with a unit that has timing marks on it....change the front seal, and install a nice timing pointer. You will thank yourself later.
I believe Cloyes makes three units, three price ranges. Like Jebby said, the True Roller is tops. You have too much at risk to ever go with a $19.95 unit. Pistons meeting valves is the kiss of death.

That's a nice offer from Jebby and it'll do a great job
Base, stock 350... won't go wrong with what came in it as well (EXCEPT No Plastic)… Cloyes pn C-3001K … has the strong, quiet Morse aka Link-Belt chain but no plastic on gear https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...001k/overview/
Basic $30 Cloyes with 3 positions to adjust cam timing works fine. Heck I used them in my 540 with springs you could hold up a house with, solid roller cam with .774" lift and 8000+ RPM. Never an issue.
