DIFFERENTIAL (SNUBBER) ploy bush
Im installing the DIFFERENTIAL (SNUBBER) ploy bush as pictured below
another pic below shows the metal bush - middle bush - shows metal bush and washer that is attached to my old rubber bush - so would you just put the same metal bush into the smaller ploy bush ?? would that be correct?

You want everything as solid as possible. In the above diagram you even need to install metal reinforcing plates down inside and the #12 bolts go through. I have has metal aluminum snubber disk for the past 20 + years. don't forget these. https://www.racevette.com/store/p5/C...t_1963-79.html

If I remember correctly, I was told by the forum members to not use Poly but instead use rubber. I think the reason was it breaks the brace off.
I know I then switched to a rubber one.

I have stopped using the poly differential mount bushings due to I do not like how much thinner they are in comparison to the factory bushing. The RED arrow is pointing to obviously the poly bushing and how much thinner it is in comparison to the factory rubber one with the BLUE arrow pointing to it.
I have no clue why someone is using the rubber bushing that the YELLOW arrow is pointing to because it is not needed.
I cannot grasp why people would think a poly bushing would cause for the front mount bracket on the differential would break if a poly bushing was used. In over 30 years I have never come across that bracket breaking. Now I guess if the bushing was gone and they were slamming on it...I guess fatigue could catch up and cause the bracket to snap....but I cannot buy into the poly bushing was the cause for it to break.. That makes no sense at all.

I would not use the poly bushing for the carrier. It is too thin. I had one in my 66 and when I drove with a passenger in the car, the rear universal would hit the tunnel on the underside of the car. It did this going over a bump or during acceleration. I added the poly bushing during a frame off restoration with new suspension components. Jerry
