Default LSx Swap Water Pump Heater Fittings

Good afternoon all,

I did a fair amount of research on the forum and others on water pump fittings and I eventually settled on these: http://www.hydraulichoses.com/Produc...oductCode=4503 , 4503-10-06 and 4503-12-8. I confirmed they fit in the car, they clear the upper control arm with about 3/8" to spare. I have my motor as far forward as possible, if the engine is farther back it may not work depending on the position. In the picture below they are not threaded in all of the way, in their final position they will be about one thread away from bottomed out.

Scott

Did the same thing! Have my engine about as far back as it can go. Pretttty close but it does clear.
At some point I want to lower my engine more in which case I'll have to find a different solution.

After looking at all of the options out there I decided on your setup after I confirmed I had the space. I could not find cheap local options that had the angle and the correct thread and hose barb size combinations.

That was my fallback position if I did not have the space for the 45 degree fittings in the original inlet/outlets.

There are 45 degree adapters that will give you a little more clearance.

Secondarily, you're best off, I think, to change out the upper A-arms to an adjustable set (no shims).

And third, I modified my thermostat housing to angle down and give me clearance for my spreader bar. I posted elsewhere with a picture of that.
