Body filler question
I have made a repair to a hood where I had to fill in a 15 in diameter hole that Bubba had cut in a '68 BB hood. I ground a shallow depression around the perimeter of the joint and laid in heavy glass cloth and polyester resin, on both sides. The patch is very secure and I'm now in need of some sort of filler to do the final smoothing. I've read in several different places that we should not use "bondo" on fiberglass. My questions is, what should I use then?

Don't believe all you hear. Not all material is approved for fiberglass but you don't have to look hard to find one that is.
Both Evercoat Gold and Evercoat Gold Extreme body filler, available at summit is recommended by the manufacturer to be used on fiberglass. I am sure there are plenty of other brands as well.
