Hello everyone,
I seem to remember back a few years ago a thread where someone took Hooker small block side pipe headers and cut the flange off replacing it with an LS flange. They mentioned the center exhaust ports but were able to get them to work. Search as I might, I couldn't find any info. I have a brand new set and am hoping I can get them to work.
Anyone have any information ?
Thanks & Happy Motoring,
Frank
Save yourself a bunch of headaches.
Sell what you have and purchase the correct headers for your application.
This is obviously a guy who has tried to refab and make things work to try to save a buck. It almost always costs more time and money than it would have to just buy what's available and skip all the added expense and headaches. Been there, done that, lost my shirt, agree with his post 100%.
They're not ridiculously expensive, dig through the couch cushions and ashtrays for loose change until you can buy the right ones.
But if you're hell-bent on working up a set, I understand that some Ferd engines have headers that'll almost fit.
