Default Master cylinder and Booster Color

Hi All,

What was the factory finish/color for a 1972 Power brake booster and Master cylinder?
Thank you in advance.

The master cylinder is painted semi-flat black. If you have an earlier (produced in 71) original MC on your 72 the semicircular area at the front of the casting was machined after painting so it should be natural finish, as well as the areas around the side bleeders where the lines attach. These two areas were also machined after painting and should be natural. The PB booster was gloss black but not so much that it shows a reflection.
Info from the 70-72 NCRS TIM&JG 5 th edition.
Hope this helps,
Tooch
