Default Re-built rear bearing assembly arrives

Finally!!! My rear wheel bearing assembly that I sent to Eckler's for rebuilding arrived by UPS just now. I have been bugging Eckler's customer service for a tracking number on the shipment, since they emailed me two weeks ago the part was shipped. It appears the "shipped" notification only meant the shipped it to their re-builder Vansteel. I was a little nervous how the job would be done. I had the dust cover for the rotor and sent it with the assembly. I also hoped they would install the little pins for the hold-down springs for the parking brake. One of them goes in a hole that is not accessible when the bearing assembly is put together. I got one in by loosening everything up and snaking it in, but it is a bitch to install. Vansteel did the job perfectly, including an absolutely bullet-proof shipping box. Now I have to go to work putting the parking brake back on and installing it on the car.

Vansteel did mine a handful of years ago and did a great job on the work, assy and packaging. Zero issues with anything, couldn't have been happier

BTW, installing the PB stuff is way easier on the bench before the assy goes into the trailing arm

I just had mine removed and sent to Van Steel too. They just did my drivers side.
I am at an advantage since Van Steel is not far from me. I pick up my car locally tomorrow. Im sure it will surpass my expectations.

I actually live about 35 minutes from eckler's but I drive over to Tampa to use vansteel because I like those guys. I had them rebuild the rear trailing arms on mine about 6 months ago, actually I bought the offset trailing arms. I've been through the shop lot of stuff there in a small area but looks really great. They took over all the vet brake products too when they went out of business.

Trailing Arm looks great.
Will definitely use Van Steel for other side.
