I sure could use some help ! I bought a Fitech Go Street 400 to put on my '78 . I've read all the posts , well, what are people using for a throttle bracket ? The QJ bracket won't work .
The only FiTech unit I have any experience with was on a 427 in a 69 Camaro, and it used an accelerator rod instead of a cable.
The 70-72 LT-1's used a Holley carb, and a completely different accelerator cable bracket than the Q-Jet one. We've had luck using the LT-1 Holley bracket, when installing a Holley on a Q-Jet car, so it might work with the FiTech too? The Holley cable bracket is available from most of the Corvette vendors for around $30.
I have used Lokar throttle linkage on a few cars with their brackets. Works very well. Their products are not cheap but they offer a lot of adjustability also. I have found the stock cables and brackets do not allow full throttle movement.
