Default New carb spacer fabricated

Hello!

Needed a carb spacer with the opportunity to mount the accelerator cable. Couldn´t find anything that fits my application, so I fabricated my own.

Nice job.....looks great!
An inner (2nd) return spring is cheap insurance for surprises.

Gunther, I was again in Salzburg last fall and didn't have the time to hunt for you

Very nice and clean instead of milling out the plenum divider

In my opinion.... of watching air fuel ratios and trying to figure out how to adjust carburetors and from people much more technically advanced than me. Determined that having a big 3/8ths Pvc to the valve cover leans out the air fuel ratio with polluted crank case air at high vacuum cruise throttle opening and does nothing at wide open throttle with no vacuum when you get the most blow by around the pistons rings

It makes correct carb jetting nearly unabtainable when you watch it on a dyno with oxygen sensors

Vented valve cover breather are better followed by vacuum pumps and the highest quality is dry sump with adjustable crank case vacuum levels up near 18 inches of vacuum actually create more Hp and correct air fuel ratios
I use a breather on each valve cover

Hi George!
I also don´t like the PCV hooked up to the carb. I´m searching right now the sense of this valve. If I don´t need it, I will go with a breather.

I hope that you have solid non breakable motor mounts. Years ago I thought that I had upgraded my vette motor mounts to something much better than stock

Energy Suspension red poly locking motor mounts. Then I was out raising hell with my little 427 small block and 5 speed. I had the throttle blades wide open going around a large sweeping turn when I realized that I didn't have any steering. The driver side motor mount had broken allowing the motor to lift up and wedged the headers against my steering rag joint, locking up my steering wheel

You have a 489 ci be safe
