Default Rear Spindle Endplay

I have the setup tool and new spacers + shims but I cannot get the endplay below .005. Is it okay to sand the shim or spacer? The book allows .001-.008 but I've heard the ideal is around .001-.003.

Yes you can sand the shim. Use the paper on a flat surface and work it in different directions making sure that you keep it even.

The shims in the kits are not close enough to dial in a tight endplay. The best way to do them is to use a surface grinder to dial them in.
