Default OBX Header Side Pipe Install

Got the old headers removed and the rest of the exhaust system. Believe it or not the passenger side pipe goes right up in place, but I am having an issue w/the drivers side. It was the opposite when I just put headers on it (7) years ago. I am having an issue w/the pipes clearing the steering gear box and a bracket on the firewall that appears to be a support for the steering column. It is sort of "L" shaped w/a hole in it. Do I have to cut that bracket back, do I not have the car up high enough, or am I missing something really simple. I did not expect to have issues on the drivers side. Please help.

Never had an issue getting side pipes on the drivers side into position and you have to know whether tilting the pipes more by jacking the car up more will solve the problem. The bracket sounds like it is for the transmission steering interlock cable.

That is exactly what that bracket is for. Verified it w/the assembly manual. Thank-you. That explains why my car will go into gear w/the steering locked. There is no cable there.
