On my '77 I need to tap into a switched power source for the torque converter lockout circuit in the Bowtie Overdrive 700R4 that I installed. The four connections that run down the middle of the fuse box, Accy, Bat, Ign, and Accy are all occupied, Bowtie supplies with the wiring kit a fuse tap that is designed to mate with the end of a glass fuse. Any suggestions on which circuit to tap into? I have also installed a Vintage Air kit as well as a Retrosound radio and for both of those the main power supplies are direct off the battery. They both also use the original switched sources but I believe those are now low draw signal consumption. The heater circuit is a 25A fuse and the radio 10A, would one of those work? If not, any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Just because a fuse box tap is being utilized doesn't mean that you can't piggy-back another circuit on it. As long as each circuit is fused and the total load does not create a problem, hook the L/U circuit where you need it.
Sounds like I might be making this harder than it is. Word is that the current draw for the TC lockup is low so I can tap in pretty much anywhere. I have already used the wiper hot for the electric choke but I doubt I will ever need those two things at the same time so it would be convenient to tap in again.
I believe the electric choke stays on all the time period it heats up and opens the choke and stays hot to hold the choke open. Really kind of a goofy set up.
Does your car have cruise control? If so take power from the cruise control portion of the brake switch, using this takes it out of lock up anytime you hit the brakes. Then you can wire in a manual switch on the ground side. If not Id get a brake switch with cruise control and pull power from either the fuse box or the cig lighter wire, just make sure your power source has a fuse.

I talked to BTO about this and he said if you have cruise control you cannot use this option. My car does have cc and that is why they sent me the wiring kit with a relay that is switched by tapping into the brake light wire. I'm going to use their fuse tap to go off the heater 25 amp circuit.
