Default 1968 Big Block build

I had the motor for my 68 rebuilt, I'm looking forward to getting my car sorted out so I can get it dropped in. Thought you guys might want to see the dyno video.

I'll have to look at the paperwork to be 100%, but I think 540 tq and 505 hp.

Nice pull, I saw 503 also. Looks like we're in the same neck of the Woods, Wheeler is down the street from me. They did my Block work and buttoned the bottom end for me. I started with a 68 L71, ended up with Hyd. Rollered 460 (kept the Tri-power, 559hp).

If your from metro area, maybe we'll run into each other.

Wheeler does excellent work. I am down in the southeast corner of the state. This motor is built pretty mild to have good street manners.

Can you give details of the build?

I can see some kind of Alum. Head, I'm curious because originally I was going stay at 427ci but got bit by the go bigger bug so it would be cool to see your parts list. I haven't been able to drive mine much since I finished last year (too late in season, but Vac. stuff works, easy lope to the idle).) the few times I drove it it wasn't much different than the L71 till the Secondaries open.

I'm planning on going to a show/event in New Prague this year, but maybe that's out of your stomping area.

What is the show in New Prague?

It is 10.1 compression, eagle forged internals, sportsman pistons, Race Rite Brodix heads 294 cc, GM L88 intake, http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=388&sb=0
It's running a GM ignition with fast conversion. I'll run hooker super comp headers.

You have an awesome torque curve, well done. Thanks for posting the details.

I just pasted from the web, I haven't been to this one myself, but I know some peeps that live down there so I'm going to try and make it (not sure if my Car will be worthy though, they state "show condition" I'm going to check with the peeps about the details.
